The Pursuit of a Life of Praise

In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deeds. Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king's enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet. Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. ~ Psa 45:4-7

Senator Grassley's Letter

Hey, JMM is under some persecution, but God is good and I trust that His truth will prevail. Please be in prayer for the ministry and for the Meyer family. If you want to check out our website and see what's going on visit this link.

Want to know how the donations are spent. Take 270 north to Highway 30 and look right as the two intersect. Enjoy the view!

Wow! Obviously you didn't take a look at the web site. I supposed that if you love Jesus, you are not entitled to have nice things. Am I reading that correctly from the comment? Regardless of the home, did you notice what the ministry actually does from the donations or did you get hung up on that assumption alone?

Oh, no one said that lovers of Jesus aren't allowed to have nice things dear. Even tax exempt lovers of Jesus are entitled to some nice things, but Joyce Meyers and family are making more than 99% of the American population. That's a lot of nice things to remain tax exempt. I don't think she's a bad person, but she is misguided in much of her doctrine. I don't say that to take anything away from the work that you do. It's just my opinion that she is too caught up in money and not caught up enough in the Bible. I did look at the website, I've also looked at many others, have you? You may want to you know. There are many people who would agree with me, and most of them are solid christian lovers of Jesus.

First, please don't call me dear. I highly doubt that you meant it sentimentally, so therefore, please don't mock me. Secondly, Senator Grassley himself is making more than 99% of the American population! She has done everything to be completely transparent and maintain integrity, to the point of publicizing her own income through the ministries website. I think that you are forgetting that Joyce has written over 80 books and that every single book, CD teaching, DVD, etc that is sold through the ministry does not even touch Joyce's pocket. She maintains a feeble salary compared to a secular company doing the same sales. The money she makes comes from Borders, Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble, etc. J.K. Rowling, also makes a considerable amount from her writtings, evil as they are. I have yet heard of someone criticizing her income. You also might want to consider that I take the calls that come into the ministry and I can personally tell you that there are a lot more people that God has touched using this ministry than those that call in complaining about her. Not only do I receive these calls personally, but I am responsible for the report that goes to the Meyer family letting them know about these "solid christian lovers of Jesus" wondering about her doctrine. What Joyce speaks, comes from the Bible. My pastor has a nice house and he drives a nice car. He wears nice clothes and I highly doubt that he worries if the bills are going to be paid each month. Does that make his doctrine and our church's tax exempt status questionable?

I have seen other websites. I don't think these website have the whole truth or even part of the truth, ie - the "commode." I have also seen the website of the "ministry" responsible for Senator Grassley's letter. Check it out for yourself. (www.trinityfi.org) Also, take a special look at the magazine that they publish "The Wittenburg Door, a 34-year-old humor magazine devoted to satirizing spiritual excess." Want to question doctrine...dive deeper into this "ministry?"

Besides of all of this, if you're concerned that she has "alot of nice things to remain tax emempt" shouldn't you be concerned not with the law-abider, but the law maker. The IRS has clearly defined her as meeting and exceeding the requirements for such status, even just 4 weeks prior to receiving Sen. Grassley's letter because the ministry chose to undergo an independant finacial audit willingly.

This really is an non-issue after reviewing the facts. And this post is to educate people about the facts instead of someone's opinions. It's a call to prayer. If you are a brother/sister in Christ, please pray. Pray for the truth to be revealed. I believe it will be.
