The Pursuit of a Life of Praise

In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deeds. Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king's enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet. Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. ~ Psa 45:4-7

quote of the day . . .

"There is an enchanted place where tender cacao plants thrive in the shadows of hearty coffee trees. Their slender pods are gathered and transformed to create Starbucks chocolate-captivating with coffee, delightful on its own."

~ Starbucks Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans

Starbucks quotes are sounding alot like Dove Chocolate and Oprah lately! Wouldn't it be amazing if Starbucks was a Christ glorifying company and hosted hourly Bible studies!

I can't wait to go to Heaven . . . Do you think that Jesus liked coffee?

I am sure that Jesus got high off of caffeine. Wait, okay, he probably got tired of all the silly disciples following him around, so he had to drink espressos or pop choco-covered beans to stay awake. Just kidding, but I think coffee definitely glorifies God. The smell, the taste, the plant from which it came. Ahhh . . . Darn! I don't have any to drink and you made me crave some. Oh well. But I am refreshed because I am done today, finally, with my first year of Bible college! Have a great weekend.

All good things come down from the Father of lights and so coffee is clearly being defined here as being divine in origen. That picture by the way is not fair to those who are home after the acceptable coffee hour and may be led astray by it's glossy and Eden like details.

Kendall, CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you God for blessing Kendall with the ability and calling to attend Bible college and sustaining him throughout this year! I pray for abundant blesings during this time of rest during the summer and that you refresh him daily with new revelations of yourself! Kendall, you have a wonderful sense of fun and humor - that's from Jesus! You are uniquely hand-crafted by the Creator of the entire universe. And you are a joy to so many, I am so sure, because I see it throughout your writings. Sit down with your coffee, your Bible and your Father often this summer and soak Him in! How exciting for you! Thank you for visiting my blog.

Josiah Serra! Oh Brother dear, how blessed I am by you! Even though you are embarrassed that I am writing this on the public blogsite where just anyone can read these words, I'm writing them anyway! I love you dear Brother and I love coffee. AND I love talking with you while holding coffee! Precious to me! Precious! Precious! I will make it up to you somehow and give you back what was stolen from you as you read this blog and was left aching for a hot cup 'o jo! Prayer and Starbucks tonight - I am not sure that it gets better! Heaven keeps revealing itself more and more . . . I can't wait!

Maybe someday Jesus will take over the Starbucks and we could go there to talk with Him. I don't know if He drank coffee though. Hmmm...Arabian mocha, Aramaic...?

I am SURE that if Jesus were to sit down with us today (after taking over not only the Starbucks, but everything) then He would definately order a talle Arabian Mocha! That's good, Chad! Thanks for clarifying that anonymous comment thing . . . I was so unsure of who would have written such a comment ;-) I think this calls for a cup 'o jo this very morning . . . yum, Arabian Mocha, Bible, cheesy eggs and ham . . . it's a coffee day!
